creative civil partnership photographers costs.
Will you be the photographer turning up on the day?
Yes I am the sole photographer, and will be the sole photographer on the day.
What kind of camera do you use?
I will use a Canon 5D mkII; a camera specifically designed with wedding photographers in mind, and have a Canon 40D as a back up and second camera. I also use Canon cameras with professional ‘L’ series lenses for the best picture quality and sharpness.
Do you shoot digitally or on film?
In the same way CDs are better than Vinyl, digital is better than film; despite what some diehards may claim. A modern digital camera produces both better quality and resolution than film; digital files allow for post production enhancements and the recyclable nature of digital allows for a more cost effective pricing.

What happens if you are unable to make it on the day?
In addition to professional indemnity insurance that would offer compensation, I will do my best to provide a photographer with similar style to myself, via my network and via the professional societies.
What style of photographer are you?
I have no single style, other than my own. I will incorporate a variety of styles on the day, from reportage and candid shots to formal and posed shots that all blend cohesively together to tell the story and capture the emotions of the day.

How long with the formal groups take to photograph?
Depending on the size of the families, I normally recommend ten groups which take around 30-40mins.
How many photographs will you take on the day?
On average it is normally around 750, but very much depends on the day, the number of people and the time made available; however, there is no limit.

Whilst some photographers may try and squeeze in two or even three wedding in a day. My packages all include a full day of shooting from getting ready to the first dance. There is simply not enough time in my day to shoot any more that one, your, wedding in a day.
Will our pictures be accessible on the web?
Yes, I will make an on-line gallery for you which will enable you, your family, and your friends to views the pictures and to order high quality prints, canvases and albums.
Why are your prints more than on the high street?
This come down to quality, I will use art papers and pigment inks that will last for hundreds of years. The colours will be balanced and calibrated, the best crop and framing applied for each size of print and further post production and digital enhancements applied; whilst a high street developer puts them in a machine and hits print.
Are there any other print size we can order?
We can print any image at any size you request.

What control over the album and the images do we have?
I will design the album and provide a proof, if any image or design is not to your liking or there are particular pictures you want to be included or left out then I will re-proof and the album will not be produced until you are 100% happy.
Do you offer black and white and other photo effects?
Yes, although I shoot solely in colour, any picture can be converted to include effects like B&W, sepia, any colour toning or spot colours.
When would you arrive and leave on the day?
Exact timings are dependant on the timings of the day, but I would expect to arrive in enough time to get shots of the bride’s preparations, and I would not leave until at least after the first dance.
When will the proofs be ready?
These will be ready for you on return from you honeymoon, and should be up on the web for viewing within a week.
Will you visit the venue before the wedding day?

Will there be a pre-wedding shoot?
Yes, it is important for me to meet the couple before the wedding, I normally do this one month before, this time allows us to finalise the timing and details of the day. It also allows us to have a pre-wedding shoot, which not only will result in some great portrait shots, but allows a rapport to be built which will help for a more relaxed wedding day.
What happens if it rains?
Whilst visiting the venue prior to the wedding, it gives me a chance to scout locations for pictures in all circumstances rain or shine.
How far will you travel to a wedding before charging a travel fee?
The package price is all inclusive of all costs, although I do reserve the right to charge a supplement but this is based on travelling time rather than distance. However, a complete package price will be agreed before booking and then this price is fixed with no additions for anything.
Is there an extra fee if the wedding and reception are in different locations?
No, once you have hired me you have me for the day.
If your package is not what I am looking for would you customise it to suit my requirements and budget?
I will always try to help and accommodate the couple and build a bespoke package if possible.
great civil partnership photography costs.
Can other people take pictures?
Of course! There are some photographers that will try to stop guests taking pictures, especially of the formal shots; as they use a price structure that means they want to sell as many pictures as possible to the couple and family and don’t want the amateur competition. Not only is my style a little more laid back, but the package structure I offer means I am concentrating on capturing the day to produce the best album and great pictures, if uncle Tom gets a few good ones too, then good for him.
Do you have public liability and indemnity insurance?
Public liability is covered to £2,000,000 and professional indemnity is covered to £75,000 giving you piece of mind should the remote chance of disaster happen, then you and all your guests are fully covered.
How far in advance can we book?
The further ahead the better, as there is more chance I’ll be available.
How do we book?
Check for my availability and once you are happy with the service and package I provide, a 25% retainer secures the day. Sorry it’s not possible to hold days without payment.
